Planning, Environment and Local Government Bar Association Bursary

PELGBA is delighted to announce the first annual Bursary in Planning and Environmental Law.

The Bursary, which will cover the cost of the Advanced Diploma in Planning and Environmental Law at the Kings Inns, is open to members of PELGBA who are:

• In their first to fifth year of practice at the Bar (as of October 2025).

• A member of PELGBA at the time of their application for the bursary  (the link to join is https://www.pelgba.ie/join )

• Have a demonstrated interest in the area of planning, environment, and local government law (such as prior study, employment, or other activities).

• Have applied, or will apply, to study on the Advanced Diploma in Planning and Environmental Law commencing in October 2025.

The successful applicant will be chosen by way of random selection. Applicant’s will be informed of the success of their application before 31 July 2025.
